“The tour was interesting and varied. The places visited had good local guides to show us around and we had sufficient free time to enjoy the places further. The Hotel was extremely comfortable and ideally located for access to the Citadel of Carcassonne. Our tour manager, Paul Robson, was excellent and ensured our enjoyment and safety throughout our stay. My only complaint was that he was given my late husbands contact details to enable him to provide additional information on the trip. I did not realise this until I had returned home and found the messages on my husband's phone. This meant that I missed details that were important. Obviously John's details were not included on my booking form but must be held on your database somehow. Please ensure this cannot happen again as it caused me distress and could have disrupted my tour.

“One of the best holidays we've ever had. We now realise that the cruise companies have a lot to deal with to ensure traveller satisfaction, and Mother Nature can affect things. Our weather forecast wasn't too good before we sailed, but we then had sunny and warm weather throughout the cruise, and beyond. Cruise staff, in all parts of the boat were attentive and pleasant, fellow travellers friendly and good fun, and our cruise and rail managers guided us carefully, ensuring all connections were met, and did so in a friendly, informative manner. The Rhine water was very high, and did affect one stop, so rainfall will always be a big factor to consider. But we fully intend to travel with Great Rail Journeys in future.

The journey to the top of the Jungfrau and the Ice palace was the highlight. but with two lake sailings one in a paddle steamer made this holiday one to remember Travelling with the small group we all became friends from all over the country I would recommend this holiday.
