Normally our GRJ holidays would be 5*. Overall we enjoyed the holiday but there were some issues, not all within the control of GRJ such as the hotel in Casblanca undergoing a significant renovation. Part of the holiday that did not live up to expectations was an overnight stay in a desert encampment that had been listed as 5*. It certainly did not live up to that for us and didn't even look like the pictures we received from GRJ pre tour. If it had just been me I would have given this holiday 3.5* as being a vegetarian provisions were poor. Almost every other meal included on the tour was vegetable tajine and I do mean just vegetables. I had expectations of enjoyable pulse/bean based dishes but sadly not. Breakfasts were very good and 2 of the hotels had buffet dining but other than that all meals tended to be a set menu. Despite this we did enjoy the holiday if a bit tiring. We had a good tour manager and an excellent local guide and got to see a lot of Morocco, not just the big tourist centres.

The trip was very slow and the guides treated us like primary schoolchildren
