Itinerary
We gather at London St Pancras International this morning as we set off on an amazing adventure to three wonderful countries on the Adriatic coast. We travel in Eurostar Standard Premier Class to Brussels, before journeying to Munich in First Class. The route passes through rolling wooded hills on its way from Cologne to Frankfurt before heading through the old Swabian towns of Ulm and Augsburg. Look out for Ulm Minster enroute as its spire is the tallest in the world.
On arrival in Munich tonight, we check into our 4-Star hotel just a short distance from the main train station and have our first dinner together. Located within sight of the Alps, lively and historic Munich is one of Germany's best-loved cities.

We selected this holiday to enable us to visit some places we have always wanted to go to and we were not disappointed. The highlights being Lake Bled, the Plitvice Lakes and the Postojna Caves all of which were amazing, but our visits to Ljubljana, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Montenegro were equally as good. The hotels were of a very good standard and in most cases in good locations which made getting about in our free time very easy. The travel arrangements were at times a little challenging on the German Trains which were not very reliable but our Tour Manager did a very good job in sorting things out and getting us to Munich at the end of our first day although it was rather later than expected but there was a hot meal waiting for us which was very welcome. Overall the holiday was excellent made all the more enjoyable by a good group of travellers which we think makes all the difference.

Wonderful countries to visit but the journey, changing trains, was difficult with luggage. Be sure to pay and send your luggage to the first hotel and make the journey a lot easier. This used to be included in the holiday but is now an extra but well worth paying for.

The brochure was misleading as the actual tour included a great deal of walking and not on flat or even surfaces. If the detailed tour notes given at the start of tour by Rep had been on your brochure we would not have booked it. it meant we were unable to take part in majority of activities.

Week constructed full on tour which we feel would have benefitted by one full day free after about 1 week of holiday.

Magnificent scenery, lakes and waterfalls. Interesting old towns. Excellent leader in Alex. Some missed train connections and long coach journeys. Hotel meals pretty ordinary.
