Loved all of the trips, met some lovely people. The first hotel in Harrogate, good service, the bedroom was lovely, but the food wasn’t that inspiring, just ok only. The second hotel in Alnwick had wonderful food and good service but the bedrooms / bathrooms needed upgrading to the usual standard expected by Great Rail Journeys as well as myself.

Good itinerary. Hotels somewhat disappointing.

Very 'full on' every day. They are trying to cram too much into the holiday- could do with a bit more leisure time especially in Harrogate. Hotels were nothing special. Food in Alnwick White Swan was better. Our guide was excellent - nothing was a problem for her.

Rather exhausting. Tried to fit too much in each day not giving quite long enough in some venues . Early starts didn’t help ! Otherwise very interesting. Hotels could do with improvement .

All things promissed were provided though the second coach firm was not as prompt as was expected. A friendly event.
